HOLLAND FARMS
Outing Description: Holland Farms has their annual Fall Festival running now through Nov. 3. We’ll get an early jump on it and you may want to go back later in the season with this outing being your ‘practice run’
Things to see/photograph: pumpkin patch, corn maze, hay ride, sunflower and zinnia fields and even some farm animals.
I encourage you to bring along a friend, family member or your leashed pet for a ‘photo session’!
We’ll meet at the Farm at 4PM and have a brief presentation by Debi Parnell and Yvonne Lashmet on suggestions to get some great field photography. We’ll touch on lighting and angles, aperture and bokeh, and basic portraiture. If you are willing to be a model in addition to being a photographer, dress for it with perhaps a fun hat. (The Farm does say they offer props but I’m not sure what they have this year.)
We’re going in the late afternoon to take advantage of the best low lighting. Sunset is at 6:33pm and the Farm closes at 6PM so it should be great.
Difficulty Level: X EASY But there will be walking on uneven terrain in the fields.
Time: 4:00-6:00PM. Meet at the Farm at 4:00PM. The presentation will start on time.

Cost: $15.00 pp
Equipment suggestions: In addition to the basic camera, lens, storage, you may want a tripod and a wide aperture portrait lens if you have it.
