Meet the POP 2022 Judges!

The Wide Angle Photo Club is proud to announce three highly acclaimed photographers/educators who will be judging our 2022 Power of Photography® contest!

Lorelei White
Portrait Photographer, Author, Educator

We are honored to have award winning portrait photographer, Lorelei White who is owner and operator of Pixl Photography. She has over 20 years experience and training in the art of photography, specializing in modern female portraiture. Beyond women’s portraiture, she has experience with family and children’s photography and uses an extensive high-art wardrobe when creating her art.

Lorelei started her adventure in photography as a child, running around with a 35mm camera. She was inspired by her grandfather, an avid amateur photographer, and the passion to capture her experiences never faded.

Kevin Hong
Sector K Media – Aviation Design and Photography

Kevin Hong spent decades developing his skills in graphic design, photography, and videography. Today he is a professional storyteller who captures moments and documents significant events through the lens of his camera, leveraging its reach and impact through social media. He uses his passion for storytelling to help businesses create fun marketing campaigns and strategies to grow their enterprises—to tell their stories.

Kevin has a passion for making sure his clients have an enjoyable experience while working with him. Throughout his career as a photographer, he has spent his time not only on the ground, but also in the air as a specialist in aviation photography. He works with a wide array of people in the aviation industry to showcase pilots and their aircraft, as well as veterans who have fought wars and lived to share their stories. 

Crossing the Atlantic Ocean, Kevin documented large events, including the 75th anniversary of World War II’s D-Day invasion in Normandy, France. Through social media he is able to show people from around the world events that were taking place, including a 94-year-old veteran parachuting from an airplane for the first time since World War II. His efforts gave people on the opposite side of the globe an opportunity to see historic events taking place in real time.

His diverse skill set allows Kevin to fulfill clients’ needs not just in social media, but also in showcasing their companies, and marketing their products and services around the world.

Stephen Savage

Stephen Savage graduated from George Washington University with a BA in Art History, and earned a Master of Liberal Arts from Spring Hill College, with a concentration in Fine Art Photography. 

He currently serves on the boards of the Eastern Shore Art Center, Alabama Free Clinic, and the Eastern Shore Camera Club, which he co-founded.  He previously served on the boards of District Curator’s, Inc, Mobile Theatre Guild, and the Mobile Arts Council, where he served as President. 

As an art educator, Stephen taught Photography, Photojournalism, and Art History at Spring Hill College for 20 years, and continues to teach photography at the Eastern Shore Art Center where he has been teaching for 23 years. He led photography workshops across the country in Alabama, Florida, Utah, Kansas and Maine. 

His fine art work has been exhibited widely, at the Mobile Museum of Art, Huntsville Museum of Art, The Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art, Pensacola Museum of Art, and many others. 

Savage contributed to multiple publications, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, Garden and Gun, Portico, Mobile Bay Monthly, AARP, AL.com, Fairhope Living, and The Oxford American

As a film maker, he made short films for the South Alabama Land Trust, Baller Dream Foundation, National Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, Nall Foundation, Alabama Free Clinic, and others.
