I will bring some models and reflectors to practice portrait photography. One of the models is seven months pregnant so you can practice for a maternity shoot if interested.
We can stop and go as often as you’d like; stay in groups or go solo. There’s so much to see and photograph! We can stroll along the Great Lawn, relax at Mirror Lake, wander through the Gazebo Garden and discover the peacefulness of the Asian-American Garden.
Difficulty Level: __X_ EASY ____MODERATE ____DIFFICULT
Date & Time: Sunday, March 19, 2023 at 12PM. Plan on staying 2-3 hours but you can leave as early or late as you’d like. The Gardens close at 5PM.
Where (meet up?): 12401 Bellingrath Gardens Road, Theodore, AL 36582. Meet in the area just outside the Entrance Building. Arrange for carpooling on your own if desired.
Cost: $15 for Gardens, $24 for Gardens and Home. Purchase at the Gardens.
Equipment:
Musts: camera, lens (tele & wide…all size will be good, nifty 50 for portraiture), memory cards, extra batteries. Know your camera and how to adjust your ISO, aperture, and shutter speed easily.
Optional: Tripod What else to bring:
Food/Drink: Bring water if you’d like while shooting. There is a Gift Shop and Café at the entrance and drink vending machines near the Home.
Attire: Dress appropriate for weather. We’ll be walking on paved pathways.
