We welcome photographer, Tim Jones, from the Eastern Shore Camera Club in Fairhope, AL. Tim is an award winning TV News Photojournalist who has a passion for photography spanning over a 30-year period which led him to many destinations in the U.S. and abroad.
In 2021, Tim was diagnosed with CIDP, a relatively rare auto immune disease leaving him wheelchair bound. The prevalence of numbness and weakness stirred up fears that he would never be able to hold a camera, let alone capture images. Rather than succumbing to these fears, Tim pressed forward in faith seeking God’s heart and gradually embarked on pursuing his passion and while challenging, is yet rewarding. He doesn’t consider himself to be disabled, but now differently-abled. As of right now, he lives his life seated in a wheelchair which allows him to see images from a different vantage point and perspective.
All of the images you’ll see, have been taken this year, by him, from the wheelchair. With love and support from his family, he’s bouncing back. His presentation is a testimony of perseverance and adaptability. His insights on composition are not just technical instructions; they are life lessons in seeking the extraordinary in the ordinary.
