UWF Camellia Garden
Outing Description: Visit and photograph the beauty of camellias at the UWF Camellia Garden. The gardens are designed to showcase the finest Pensacola registered varieties alongside camellias sourced from across the globe. If we get another hard freeze that will affect the blooms, we will know a couple of weeks in advance, and you will be notified. Where (meet up?): Camellia Garden, Service Rd, Pensacola, FL 32514
If heading east on 9 Mile Road, you will turn North/left at University Pkwy. At the UWF entrance turn right at the light onto Campus Dr., at the next light turn left at Campus Lane then right back onto Campus Dr. you’re heading to Parking Lot W.
Coming from Pace area/East on Alt 90 use the UWF East Entrance turning right onto Campus Dr. At the light turn right onto Campus Lane then right back onto Campus Dr. you’re heading to Parking Lot W.
Cost: $0, although the Pensacola Camellia Club always appreciates donations
Equipment:
Musts: camera, lens (macro if you have it), memory cards, extra batteries (keep them in your pockets to maintain power). Know your camera and how to adjust your ISO, aperture and shutter speed easily.
Optional: Tripod for slow shutterspeed shooting, remote shutter release or know how to use 2-second delay if your camera has it; other props and lenses.
What else to bring:
Food/Drink: Let’s plan on having a lunch get together after the shoot. Location TBD
