Outing Description: In the spirit(s) of Halloween, let’s photograph this beautiful cemetery in historic Bagdad, FL.
Each grave in the Bagdad Historic Cemetery represents a part of the history and success of Bagdad, a once-thriving mill town now a historic village listed on the National Register of Historic Places. NOTE: I know not everyone can attend on a weekday, so if you can’t make it to the Monday outing, on Saturday October 21 from 9am-Noon there is a really cool event that the Bagdad Historic Cemetery Association is offering! It is “Legends and Lore Tour”. Neighborhood historians will take you through the times in history that formed the Village of Bagdad. Actors portraying historic personalities shed perspective of what it was like to live in the most prosperous southeastern village during the 1800s. I’m planning on going. Let me know if you are interested and it can be an UNofficial outing! (I would have made THIS the outing but know that we photographers like to take our time and photograph moody photos without distractions. Now you have a choice!)

Where (meet up?): Meet at the cemetery 6800 Pooley St, Bagdad FL
Cost: $0 (There is no cost but I will have an envelope to accept donations for the Bagdad
Historic Cemetery Association. These funds help BHCA continue regular maintenance, restoration, and other special projects within the cemetery.)
Equipment:
Musts: camera, lens (tele & wide…all size will be good), memory cards, power. Know your camera and how to adjust your ISO, aperture and shutter speed easily.
Optional: Tripod for slow shutter speed shooting, remote shutter release or know how to use 2 sec delay if your camera has it; other props such as Lens Ball if interested.
Attire: Dress appropriate for weather.
