The Wide Angle Photo Club began informally in 1988 in Santa Rosa. A few photographers met at the Milton Waffle House and WAPC was born.
The club became officially incorporated as a not-for-profit organization with the State of Florida as the Wide Angle Photo Club, Inc. in 1994.
WAPC first met in an office building at ARC Gateway on 10th Ave. in Pensacola in 2005. The club outgrew that room and moved to the current ARC Gateway where we met from 2006 through 2015. We then outgrew the ARC location and are now meeting at Asbury Place on College Blvd.
For a more complete review of the History of the WAPC, Suzanne Borges, former WAPC President and Vice President has prepared a great document on the complete History of the Wide Angle Photo Club. It has been updated February 2014.
